Main Purpose of the Job
To achieve an agreed level of sales by providing a first-class service and experience for all customers through understanding and meeting their needs and demonstrating the core values of the company and our brand partners.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Achieve an agreed personal sales target and contribute to the showroom’s overall targets.
Offer high levels of customer service in line with DMR’s ‘Standard of Selling’ guidelines, by listening and understanding the needs of DMR’s clients, proactively providing the right solutions.
Liaise with Head Office, other showrooms and suppliers as required.
Contribute to achieving the team goals through co-operation, remaining flexible, maintaining team spirit and generating ideas to maximise the performance of the team.
Represent and promote DMR and our brand partners by attending external events when required.
Identify future sales opportunities and build appropriate relationships with contacts and clients.
Collect and accurately process data and information about clients, sales and stock levels.
Create and maintain a high level of showroom presentation – displays, cleanliness and personal appearance.
Process and safeguard all monies in accordance with Company Procedures and Money Laundering Regulations.
Maintain and uphold the company’s procedures towards the security of clients, colleagues and product.
Perform administration tasks as required (e.g. handling post, repairs, emails)
Retain and demonstrate up-to-date product knowledge and competitor awareness.
Undertake training and seek to improve personal performance.
Fulfil personal Health and Safety responsibilities and towards customers.
Ensure confidentiality in relation to client and company data and information.
Essential skills and experience
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within a luxury sales environment.
Proven track record of achieving sales target as an individual and as part of a team
Ability to build and maintain new client relations
Commercial awareness, picking up on current and new trends
Excellent eye for detail when merchandising achieving a ‘glowing’ showroom environment
Attitude of a self starter who takes initiative to increase sales
Impeccable spoken and written English
Flexible approach to shift work during seasonal periods and covering other stores

Across four showrooms, our highly trained Sales Ambassadors have been part of many special memories throughout our 50-year history. For many, their clients have become more like friends. The relationship that our showrooms enjoy with their friends is what sets DMR apart. We care deeply about their individual story and are privileged to assist them at milestones throughout their lives. From engagements to special birthdays, many generations of the same families continue to visit us, half a century into our journey.
At DMR, you will receive training about our own exclusive jewellery collections as well as the magic behind diamonds and gemstones. In addition to this, you will be taught about the technical mastery of our Swiss watch partners, including Rolex and Patek Philippe.
A workshop was where the DMR story began back in 1969. To this day, it remains an important part of our business. It is in these spaces, that expert craftsmen and women carve and shape precious metals to turn the dreams of our friends into a reality. Specialists in gemstones and metalwork, they guide our Sales Ambassadors on bespoke projects, imparting their own creative knowledge to add an extra special touch to our clients’ ideas.
Even today, David Robinson remains a part of the DMR design process. Alongside him, a team of skilled designers and product developers translate a rough pencil sketch into a timeless creation. With the help of our Goldsmiths, prototypes are crafted from precious metals which form the basis of conversations within DMR’s Head Office operation. It is here that important decisions are made on which pieces tell our story and are to be introduced to our friends by our Sales Ambassadors.
