OMEGA: Novelties 2021

Despite the challenges of the last year, the Swiss watch industry- a beacon which has stood strong through many ups and downs over the centuries- remains resolute in its ambition to create the best technical developments for its clients. This is evidenced nowhere more than the release of OMEGA’s novelties for 2021.

Allow us to walk you through this remarkable suite of watches launched today!

Seamaster 300 Master Chronometer

A vintage inspired collection, the new OMEGA Seamaster 300 pays homage to one of the most famous watches in underwater history, first created in 1957. With this new release, OMEGA looks back fondly, but remains very much true to its ongoing commitment to modern precision.

The new collection is presented in a 41mm stainless steel case, with a thinner design than previous versions thanks to a new domed sapphire glass. Thinner bezels are crafted from an oxalic, anodized-treated aluminium for increased hardness.

For the dial, OMEGA presents their new sandwich conception with a base layer of vintage Super-LumiNova comfortably below a second plate with recessed hour markers and vintage Arabic numerals. The brand also reintroduces the popular lollipop central seconds hand, another reference to an iconic history.

Powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912, the OMEGA Seamaster 300 boasts an impressive 60-hour power reserve. Available in leather strap or bracelet variations, the stainless-steel bracelet now comes with an improved fit and finishing.

Seamaster 300 Bronze Gold

A pioneering addition to the new Seamaster 300 collection is a special timepiece crafted from OMEGA’s exclusive Bronze Gold- the first OMEGA to be created in this patent-pending alloy.

Used for the entire 41mm case and buckle, Bronze Gold has been specifically developed by the brand to produce a pleasing hue, while also offering a bronze alloy that could be worn with direct contact on the skin, thanks to its distinctive composition.

A one-of-a-kind alloy enriched with noble elements such as 37.5% gold, as well as palladium and silver, Bronze Gold offers incomparable corrosion resistance without verdigris-oxidation, meaning it will age slowly and retain its natural patina over a longer period of time.

The same sandwich dial conception is extended from the main collection, in this case using a common bronze alloy to offer a unique dark brown colour, with a patina created after a special aging process, producing a captivating contrast with the Bronze Gold case.

Constellation Small Seconds

Since 1952, Constellation has been OMEGA’s defining symbol of unrivalled precision and beauty. Almost 70 years later, 2021 sees the introduction of a new range of Small Seconds models which remain true to the iconic spirit of this collection.

Crafted in a new 34mm case size, the slender watches are in keeping with OMEGA’s recent 5th generation Constellation makeover, including polished bevelling along the case side and bracelet, as well as the iconic claws, which are integrated smoothly around the case.

The collection’s design has been enhanced with extra diamonds and a number of unique details. Offered in a full range of colours, the dials feature a round date window at 6 o’clock, along with incremental diamond hour markers. The brand adds rings for the Small Seconds subdial, as well as the Central Minute Track. On some models, these rings are presented in OMEGA’s unique Sedna™ gold with the addition of delicate single-cut diamonds.

Seamaster Diver 300M “Black Black”

An OMEGA icon since 1993, the Seamaster Professional Diver 300M has enjoyed a legendary following across the globe. The brand’s 21st century models stay true to the original’s design, whilst experimenting with the introduction of new materials and movements.

On this 43.5mm Seamaster model, black ceramic [ZrO2] is the dominant force. It’s case, bezel, dial, crown and helium escape valve, are all crafted from this striking material, giving a distinctive, uniform and sculptural look. OMEGA introduces anthracite Super-LumiNova to the diving scale, black PVD indexes and skeleton hands to ensure visibility without affecting the overall aesthetic. An integrated black rubber strap with black ceramic buckle completes the look. A sapphire-crystal caseback allows the wearer to see the beating heart of this remarkable piece, OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806.
