Heralding the beginning of another exciting year in the world of horology, IWC Watches introduces the IWC Pilot's Watch Timezoner Edition “Le Petit Prince” (Ref. IW395503).
For the first time, IWC presents the patented Timezoner function in the design code of its “Le Petit Prince” special editions. Limited to just 1500 pieces, the Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Edition “Le Petit Prince” features a blue dial and city ring made of blue ceramic.
Building on the story of this innovative watchmaking technology previously seen in the IWC Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Chronograph, this latest release displays time across a midnight-blue dial, with its city ring crafted from blue ceramic. White luminous coated numerals and hands are used to provide a striking contrast.
IWC’s patented Timezoner function enables you to move between different time zones effortlessly, simply by pressing down on the bezel and turning it to the desired location. The use of city names make it easier for the wearer to navigate.
This patented mechanism works without stopping the movement, with not a single second being lost even when crossing a dateline- a true representation of the skill this iconic Swiss watchmaker.
The IWC Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Edition “Le Petit Prince” is powered by the IWC-manufactured 82760 calibre, a robust and precise automatic movement that features a bi-directional Pellaton winding system.
Within the 82760-calibre movement, components are made of virtually wear-free zirconium oxide ceramic, allowing it to build up a power reserve of 60 hours. A transparent case back allows the watch’s owner an unimpeded view of the movement at the heart of this remarkable timepiece.
