OMEGA has been synonymous with James Bond for a quarter of a century. Since 1995, the infamous MI6 spy has worn a Seamaster watch in every film. In celebration of James Bond’s latest adventure in the film ‘No Time To Die’, OMEGA have released a new 007-edition Seamaster.
Reynal Aeschlimann- President and CEO of OMEGA- said about the special relationship, “James Bond shares many of the same qualities as OMEGA, from exquisite style to adventurous spirit and exacting precision”.
This exciting release from OMEGA is crafted from strong but lightweight Grade 2 Titanium, making the Diver’s watch a practical choice for everyday wear. The brown tropical aluminium bezel ring and dial are vintage touches, suggested by Daniel Craig himself.
The 2020 release is slightly slimmer than previous models, due to the doming of the sapphire-crystal glass- again linking to the vintage qualities of the new timepiece. However, the movement housed in the 007-edition Seamaster Diver is at the forefront of horological engineering. Having achieved the industry’s highest standards of precision, chronometric performance and magnetic resistance, the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8806 movement is certainly fit for James Bond!
Available on a Titanium Mesh bracelet, with an innovative adjustable buckle, or on a striped NATO strap in brown, grey and beige, the Seamaster is an undeniably stylish timepiece.
The dial features an arrow insignia- signalling property issued by the British government- which is a subtle nod to James Bond’s status as a government agent. The case back of each watch is engraved with numbers in the format of a military-issued timepiece.
To this day, Bond has chosen an Omega, be it for winning hands in a high-stake poker game or crashing an aeroplane through an Alpine chalet- the watch mirrors it’s wearers toughness and reliability.
