Fit for a Princess

Fit for a Princess
So, they say that good things come in threes… they also say you can never have enough diamonds! We’re guessing Prince Harry had some great advice when picking the ring with which he’d propose to Meghan Markle. It’s safe to say, he chose well!

Popular for many years, the ‘trilogy’ ring has long been an iconic style for diamond engagement rings. In this famed style, three individually selected diamonds are selected based on their beauty in combination. DMR’s diamond team carefully ensure that the stones form a unique bond, matching perfectly when sat alongside each other.

Noted for its simplicity, this ring sees the three diamonds set elegantly within individual settings, displayed across the finger in a stylish row.  The beauty of the trilogy ring is also the opportunity the couple has to make it truly personal, selecting various shapes of stones to tailor it specifically to you.

For Meghan Markle, old romantic Prince Harry selected a Cushion cut diamond purchased from Botswana, a country with which the Prince has strong charitable ties. To frame this centre diamond, two classic round brilliant cut diamonds were taken from the personal collection of the late Princess Diana, ensuring his mother played a part in this most romantic of stories.

“Harry’s proposal reveals a true romantic with a sentimental side to his character. The ring is the perfect combination, recognising Diana’s journey and his own love of Africa, set in Meghan’s favourite metal, yellow gold.” John Robinson, Managing Director.

Following the engagement, DMR was pleased to release our own elegant trilogy ring, inspired by Meghan Markle’s own. Read more about this stylish addition, here.
