Bespoke: Marking those important milestones

Very few of us find ourselves in a position to buy extravagant diamond set jewellery every day. For most, these beautiful pieces are purchased to mark a special occasion, something to look down at each day and cast your mind back to that memorable moment.

Whilst any piece of jewellery can represent those special moments in our lives, none are more personal that an exclusively designed piece of DMR bespoke jewellery. With the client involved right through from design to handover, it allows full creative control, tailoring your piece to your exact specification- with some having more specific ideas than others! We spoke to Oli about his quest to find that all important ring for his fiancée, Jess.

Hi Oli! We’re so glad we were able to help you find the perfect ring… How did you know that now was the time?

“After 15 years, it’s perhaps unsurprising the amount of times that I was asked if I was ever going to pop the question. It is, however, only very recently that friends and family had stopped asking, perhaps starting to give up hope! Never being one to do what I am asked or more importantly told, it seemed natural that at this point that I should pull my finger out finally pop the question.”

So with the decision made, what brought you to DMR’s design team and to seek Nicky’s advice?

“Having seen some of Nicky’s handy work before, it was obvious where I should go to help me ensure that the ring I finally presented my soon to be wife was worthy of the wait.”

Did DMR manage to craft the designs you had in mind?

“Not only did Nicky manage more than deliver, translating my very simple, but poignant brief of ‘one diamond for every year’ into a ring that did just that, but something I feel translates into something so much more special and that celebrates so many happy milestones we have enjoyed during each and every year.”
