Baselworld 2015 // TAG HEUER Carrera Calibre 7 Cara Delevingne
Introducing The Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 7, made in association with Cara Delevingne.

TAG HEUER1

Yesterday we spoke, and, it would appear, the watch Gods have answered. We spoke in our blog yesterday about the ever growing trend of women wearing mens watches, that as trends evolve and grow women are happy wearing something a little more masculine. We also spoke about our desire to see watch brands acknowledge this trend and create  a womens watch that gives a nod towards this growing trend.

And Tag Heur seem  to have answered that question with their Carrera Calibre 7 designed with their newest ambassador, the delightful Cara Delevingne, as the muse.

At 43MM the watch is larger than average for typical female designs, but will still sit perfectly on the wrist. The watch is almost entirely charcoal and black in it's design, with a flicker of rose gold finishing on the appliques and hands.

For a low key look the bezel can be kept plain, or there is the diamond studded version for those who don’t want to stray too far away from traditional female styles we’ve become accustomed to in timepieces (mother of pearl dial anyone?).

Not one to ever play favourites but the strap (in our humble opinion) is very pleasing indeed. The aged black calfskin strap is padded with tone-on-tone stitching, conjuring up images of both haute couture (think Coco Chanel handbags) but also adds a tough edge (think Boy London – another favourite with Cara).

The back of the watch is also a little bit special, and this is where the nod towards Cara becomes that little bit heavier. The back of the case is engraved with the lion (the symbol of her star sign, which she also has tattoo’d on her finger). The stars signature is also on the inside of the strap in Rose Gold.
