There seemed to be a un-spoken, but collective agreement amongst women (of all ages) that made it acceptable to read, and then discuss, erotic novels in the most public of spaces.

50 Shades of Grey. What an interesting summer that was…

Not any erotic novel mind, specifically one that included the smouldering Christian Grey swaggering around in his private jet, and the innocent and downright nerve grating Anastasia Steel – the girl who when faced with the prospect of being spanked in a red room of terror can only think about her unkempt hair and if only she had one of her endless supply of hair ties to control it with. Highly unlikely reaction to such an event.

Women sat shoulder to shoulder on busy tubes and trains all turning the page in unison to see which instrument of torture Christian Grey would use next, without a flicker of embarrassment or shame. It was a sexual awakening of sorts. Love it, hate it or reading it for the sake of it was a phenomenon like no other.

Then enter, Valentines 2015, 50 Shades of Grey – The Film. The critics have declared that the film has done well to sharpen down the books edges, both in terms of painfully clunky & contrived plot and in terms of it’s sexual deviancy. The infamous ‘Red Room of Pain’ is more glamour than straight torture. The setting strives to be stylish & sexy rather than sordid & smutty.

Stylish & Sexy designer jewellery

Stylish and sexy designer jewellery? Now that’s something we can get behind...

When asked to do this shoot we just couldn’t refuse. Cuff Love‘s delicate and stunning design being corrupted by silky satin straps to become the most luxurious set of handcuffs that could ever have adorned a night stand? Who wouldn’t want to see that.

The beauty of Cuff Love is it’s contrasting elements. It’s chunky and solid, and just a little bit dangerous, yet the thin band with pave set diamonds is so delicate and sweet. It would only be worn on the most sophisticated of wrists, yet it has just a nod to the side of cheeky.

If asked for a list of your top ’50 Shades of Grey’ themed items, Cuff Love has to be your top choice, sexy and stylish all the way….but we had to pick out a couple of our other favourites to mark the release of the film, head over to our Pinterest.

Enjoy, with caution.
