Baselworld 2016 Live: Georg Jensen / Zaha Hadid Collab
With all the talk about watches at Baselworld 2016, we’re making sure you don’t miss out on the new launch and collaboration from our extremely good friends at Georg Jensen and architect Zaha Hadid.

We’ll never hide our adoration for everything that Georg Jensen produces, and the Zaha Hadid collaboration only fuels that adoration. Renowned for their artistic boldness and freedom, Georg Jensen allowed Hadid free-reign with her collection and it was a move that paid off. Stating the company’s design links to nature as her starting point, Hadid and her team have produced pieces that are truly inspiring and we cannot wait for them to be available this coming Autumn.

The eight-piece collection features The Lamellae Twisted Cuff, a fantastic offering that Hadid herself has labelled the defining piece of the collection. It involves a sweeping S line, allowing the impression that the piece has been twisted in the middle. It’s a stunning offering and deserves being the focal point of the collection.

Another offering is a double-finger ring with an acute resemblance to the pebble-shaped Wangjing Soho towers in Beijing, which was designed by Hadid and completed last year in 2015. It’s a piece that can stand alone as its own centre piece, with its smooth lines and pebble like appearance creating a unique and interesting look.

All five rings and three bangles/cuffs are crafted using sterling silver and black rhodium set with black diamonds and are a perfect debut collaboration from Hadid with Georg Jensen. In addition, Hadid has designed the installation showcase at Baselworld, herself.
