We are delighted to announce that the new Yellow Box Collection for 2008 is available to view online for the first time ever in an eZine format.  This means that you can turn the pages, zoom in and out and interact with our brochure like never before!

The collection contains some firm favourites from previous collections, such as 'Making Waves' and 'You Are The One' as well as new pieces such as 'Stepping Stones' and 'Snowdrops'.

The brochure was shot in and around London at a variety of locations, including Canary Wharf where our latest store is.  We have also for the first time included pieces from some of our watch brand partners.  This allows customers to see some of the watches that we stock that are not necessarily available in their local branch.

We hope that you enjoy looking at the brochure as much as we enjoyed putting it together and hopefully we will see you in store again soon.

On Friday 15th June 2007, David M. Robinson were delighted to be a primary sponsor of The White Tie and Diamond Ball at Thornton Manor in Wirral.  The ball was in aid of The Jellybean Kid's Appeal for sick children on the Wirral.

David M. Robinson donated a 'Pebbles' ring from the exclusive Yellow Box Collection and this raised in excess of £4,000.

Overall the event raised in excess of £36,000 for the charity, which will be used in a variety of areas.

In 2008, David M Robinson Ltd will celebrate 40 years in business and what an interesting journey it has been.

I joined the jewellery industry as an apprentice “on the bench” in a small workshop in North John Street, Liverpool and after several years, decided it was time to start my own business, undertaking repairs and making my own collections to sell to other retailers. I opened my first shop in North John Street in 1968 and our initial success was aided by winning two DeBeers Diamonds International Awards, considered worldwide to be the diamond industry’s “Oscars” for design.

More stores followed in Chester, a second in Church Alley, Liverpool, Manchester, Southport and Altrincham. Our newest store in Canary Wharf, London, opened in September 2006.

Over the years, we have made pieces for some famous people, but our business is not based around “dropping names”. Instead, it’s about designing simply beautiful jewellery for people in love. Our diamond engagement rings have always been the main thrust of our business and in recent years, we have developed our own Yellow Box Collection of diamond jewellery, exclusive to my stores. We’re often asked to supply other retailers, but we politely refuse. The latest collection was shot on location in Venice and I hope you’ll enjoy viewing it in one of our stores.

Perhaps, the largest single development in our industry in recent times has been the growth in prestige watches. There are a selection of pieces we have highlighted for you to view on our website. In our stores, you’ll find a helpful, professional “can-do” approach. You can take the option of generous interest free credit facilities; we’ll add extra guarantees free of charge and the only thing to match the selection of brands is the extent of our famous after sales services.

Lastly, I just want to say a big thank you to all the people in my organisation who consistently “go the extra mile” for our customers – without you and your efforts, the business would not be where it is today.
